July 22nd 2009

What an incredible three months!

We kicked off our campaign in early April at a small business in Shelbyville with nearly a hundred of our friends and neighbors in attendance. Over the past ninety days, we've met hundreds of new friends and been honored to receive the endorsement of several elected and community leaders.

Former State Republican Chairman Jim Kittle, Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Carter, Hancock County Sheriff Bud Gray, Huntington City Councilman Chris Hoke, former Shelby County Republican Chairmen Lee McNeely, Roger Laird, and Dick Fero, former State Senator Bob Jackman, Shelbyville Central Schools Superintendent David Adams, and more than a dozen elected officials in Shelby County have already publicly endorsed our campaign!

As our team continues to grow, the momentum builds...and last week our campaign set a state fundraising record! With the help of people like you, we raised more money in our first quarter than any Republican congressional challenger candidate in Indiana history. The following is a breakdown of the Federal Election Commission reports filed last week:

We are grateful for the early financial support we received from hundreds of Hoosiers. Yet, as my old high school football coach used to say, "you don't win a game in the first quarter." We still have a long way to go and we need your help!

Will you consider making a monthly contribution of $10, $25 or more to help us bring positive, conservative change to Indiana's 5th District? Click here to start building our next quarter of fundraising success.

Have you joined our nearly 800 friends on Facebook? This is one of the best ways you can learn about upcoming events and join the enthusiastic volunteers (see video below) who have participated in parades, festivals and county fairs with us across the district.

Working together, we can make a difference for our country and send a clear message that Indiana is ready for the next generation of conservative leadership! If you agree, we hope you'll join our team.
Sincerely,

Luke Messer
